Meet The Models

Jake has got to be one of the most well-loved dogs in the world, or North London at the very least! Not only does his owner adore him, but spending his days in the Angels Fancy Dress head office means he’s constantly surrounded by people who spoil him rotten. He’s always in one of two moods, wildly energetic and affectionate, racing around the office for cuddles from everyone here, or extremely sleepy (and he sleeps in some very strange places).  He’s also a natural when it comes to modelling our fancy dress for four legged friends, especially if he’s incentivised with a treat or two.

Jake’s owner, Emma, says that she didn’t choose Jake, he chose her when he was still in his litter of puppies. When he bounded over to her, full of excitement, she knew he was the one she had to take home. He’s a West Highland Terrier, so he’s completely white, with very soft fur, although he loves to run around in the mud, so he’s often very dirty!

Jake joined the Angels clan when he was just a tiny puppy, becoming the fourth dog adopted by the family, uniting with English bulldog Poppy (who is definitely top dog) and mother and son Blue Roan Spaniels Paris and Bailey. All of the dogs get on amazingly well and constantly play together, despite their completely different personalities. They’re a real eclectic, happy bunch.

Angels Costumes has been dressing the stars of the stage and screen since 1860, and started selling fancy dress in 1992 at their iconic central London store. The Angels’ love of dogs meant it could only make sense to expand their costumes business from just dressing people, to dressing man’s best friends too. And, as their own dogs were so photogenic, what better excuse than for Jake to dress in some adorable costumes?
